The Brisbane Lions are a professional Australian rules football club based in Brisbane Queensland that compete in the Australian Football League AFL. The club was founded in 1996 and is one of the most successful clubs in the AFL having won three premierships in 2001 2002 and 2003.
The Lions have a strong tradition of developing young players and have a number of talented players in their squad. The club is also known for its strong team culture and its ability to perform under pressure.
In 2022 the Lions finished the regular season in fifth place with a record of 15 wins and 7 losses. The Lions were eliminated from the finals series in the preliminary final by the Melbourne Demons.
Despite the disappointing end to the season the Lions have a number of reasons to be optimistic about the future. The club has a young and talented squad and is well positioned to challenge for a premiership in the coming years.
